At Luthersville Baptist we emphasize congregational singing of sound, biblical hymnody from the past and present. Singing corporately at church is a communal act of worship that unites the congregation in faith, praise, and theology. Rather than a performance, it serves as a shared voice where believers express thankfulness to God, encourage one another and actively participate in the worship service.
Each month we have a dedicated song of the month that we sing during each worship service we have in the given month. The purpose of this is to get the truths imbedded in these great hymns of the faith ingrained into our hearts and minds to be able to draw from throughout our lives.
At the bottom of the calendar page you will find the list of hymns we will be singing for that month, including the current song of the month, so that everyone can sing them throughout the week as we prepare our hearts to worship together.
